SECOND AMENDMENT FOUNDATION WELCOMES NEW SPONSOR GUNAUCTION.COM AS 2013 SILVER SPONSOR

For Immediate Release:   3/4/2013

BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation announced today that GunAuction.com has joined SAF as 2013 Silver Sponsor. The generous support of GunAuction.com will give SAF’s education and legal action programs a needed boost.

SAF is at the cutting edge of preserving and restoring firearms rights with recent courtroom triumphs in Moore v. Madigan, Woollard v. Sheridan in addition to the landmark Supreme Court Decision in McDonald v. Chicago. SAF education programs include the annual Gun Rights Policy Conference, publications and new initiatives such as the Preemption Legal Project ensuring the compliance of cities and counties across the nation with state firearms laws.

With their sponsorship GunAuction.com joins SAF and their supporters in on-going efforts to defend the rights of law abiding persons to keep and bear arms.

“I welcome GunAuction.com’s generous support of the Second Amendment Foundation and our efforts to protect and restore firearms rights one lawsuit at a time. Recent and pending anti-rights legislation in a number of jurisdictions will require meaningful legal action in response and GunAuction.com’s support significantly increases our effectiveness,” said SAF Director of Development Ray Carter.

The Second Amendment Foundation (www.saf.org) is the nation's oldest and largest tax-exempt education, research, publishing and legal action group focusing on the Constitutional right and heritage to privately own and possess firearms. Founded in 1974, The Foundation has grown to more than 650,000 members and supporters and conducts many programs designed to better inform the public about the consequences of gun control. In addition to the landmark McDonald v. Chicago Supreme Court Case, SAF has previously funded successful firearms-related suits against the cities of Los Angeles; New Haven, CT; New Orleans; Chicago and San Francisco on behalf of American gun owners, a lawsuit against the cities suing gun makers and numerous amicus briefs holding the Second Amendment as an individual right.
