BELLEVUE, WA – The Second Amendment Foundation today confirmed it will extend and expand its “2nd Amendment First Responder” campaign for a record-breaking sixth week, beginning Monday, Feb. 15.
“The public response to our 60-second message has been simply phenomenal,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “We’re adding air time across a dozen networks with an additional 91 spots. By the end of next week, our ad will have been seen 439 times by tens of millions of viewers who are obviously embracing our message.”
Noting that SAF is the only national gun rights organization currently running national television advertising to defend the Second Amendment, Gottlieb said the organization has attracted over 55,000 new supporters.
“Over 25 percent of our new supporters were first-time gun buyers in 2020,” Gottlieb stated. “Approximately 40 percent of our new gun-owning supporters are women. It’s important to remember that despite the NRA’s financial and legal troubles, American gun owners remain fully engaged.”
SAF’s “2nd Amendment First Responder” messages will continue airing on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, Fox Business, One America News Network, Destination America, Bloomberg, BBC America, the Investigation Discovery Channel, American Heroes Channel, SYFY (Science Fiction), TLC (The Learning Channel), TruTV, DirecTV, The Weather Channel, HLN, Dish TV, CNBC, the Outdoor Channel and Sportsman Channel.
The 2nd Amendment First Responder message is designed to engage and grow the number of grassroots activists and further SAF’s educational and legal actions challenging unconstitutional laws and regulations in court, he explained.
“We are continuing to provide American gun owners with intellectual ammunition to win the argument,” Gottlieb said. “Our campaign is reaching out to develop community organizers who can educate their friends and neighbors about the importance of protecting their Second Amendment rights.
