SAF is dedicated to protecting the privacy of our online and offline members and donors.

Gathering and Usage of Information

SAF only collects personal information from you on a voluntary basis and it isn’t required it to obtain access to www.saf.org. The types of personal information SAF collect may include your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.

SAF does not sell your email address or phone number to any third parties. Some activities on www.saf.org explicitly involve sharing your personal information with a third party. If you sign a petition or similar call to action that has the express purpose of sending emails or petitions to Congress, the media, or similar, SAF will share your personal information with the target of the call to action.

On some occasions, SAF will make our membership postal mailing list available to allied organizations for the purpose of sending direct mail.

Opt-Out

SAF maintains several opt-out and opt-in email lists, including our alerts and issue updates. SAF gives you control over these and at any time you may “opt-out” and remove your email or mailing address from our files. There is an “unsubscribe” process detailed at the bottom of every email, or you can contact us at [email protected] to be removed from SAF’s lists. If you do not want to receive USPS mail from the SAF, please contact us at [email protected] and SAF will remove your name and address. Any email, physical address, name and other information changes can also be made by contacting SAF at [email protected], or by calling us at (425) 454-7012.

SAF.org uses “cookie” technology to obtain non-personal information from our online visitors, such as browser/computer type, number of visitors, and site usage. This information helps SAF optimize our site to be more useful for you. SAF don’t use cookies to extract personal information.

Although www.saf.org contains links to other sites, the SAF does not necessarily advocate, support or condone the privacy practices of these various websites.

SAF has taken steps to make all information received from its online visitors as secure as possible against unauthorized access and use. SAF.org maintains an SSL Certificate for secure transactions. All information is protected by extensive security measures, which are reviewed in an ongoing basis.
