BELLEVUE, WA – Glenn Harlan Reynolds, described in a biography as “one of the most prolific scholars on the University of Tennessee faculty,” is being honored by the Second Amendment Foundation with the 2023 “Defender of the Constitution” Award.
“Glenn is perhaps best known in the Second Amendment community as author of ‘A Critical Guide to the Second Amendment,’ which was published in the Tennessee Law Review,” recalled SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “Throughout his career, he has devoted the time and interest necessary for a thorough examination of the Second Amendment, and his scholarship on the subject is second to none.”
Professor Reynolds’ work has appeared in several prestigious publications including the Columbia Law Review, Harvard Journal of Law & Technology, Law and Policy in International Business, Virginia Law Review, Jurimetrics, Wisconsin Law Review, University of Pennsylvania Law Review, High Technology Law Journal and Northwestern University Law Review. His byline has appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal. He is also a member of the Board of Contributors at USA Today.
Reynolds has also testified before Congress on domestic terrorism, space law and international trade, and he has received numerous scholarship awards. He has also authored several books.
He is also widely known for his blog InstaPundit.com, which is one of the most widely-read blogs on the Internet, covering a wide range of subjects.
“Glenn’s contributions to scholarship have been exemplary, regardless of the subject matter,” Gottlieb observed. “When he writes, people pay attention, and one can tell a considerable amount of thought has gone into every word.”
