BELLEVUE, WA – Silencer Shop of Austin, Texas has renewed its Gold level sponsorship of the Second Amendment Foundation’s “Corporate Sponsorship Program” for 2022.
“It’s a great honor for us to once again have Silencer Shop’s important support,” said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. “In the coming year, we expect to be actively challenging restrictive, unconstitutional gun control laws, and support from Silencer Shop CEO Dave Matheny is very much appreciated. Once again, I’m taking this opportunity to thank him publicly.”
“We are both delighted and proud to continue our support for the Second Amendment Foundation’s crucial activities in the protection of our firearm rights,” Silencer Shop CEO Matheny stated.
The June Supreme Court ruling in New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen has considerably widened the arena for legal activities, Gottlieb noted.
“SAF remains in the front line trenches, fighting legal battles all over the map,” Gottlieb stated. “We’ve been able to achieve some significant legal victories, and the support we are receiving from our corporate sponsors including the Silencer Shop cannot be over-stated. We are facing many new challenges and Dave Matheny and his crew are right there with us.”
“Joe Biden has made it abundantly clear he is determined to ban whole classes of firearms and essentially reduce our Second Amendment rights to the level of government regulated privileges,” he added. “The battle lines are clearly drawn, and we’re determined to win this fight.
SAF has been challenging restrictive gun control laws in state and federal courts for more than 40 years. The landmark 2010 Supreme Court case of McDonald v. City of Chicago that nullified Chicago’s 30-year-old handgun ban and incorporated the Second Amendment to the states via the 14th Amendment was a SAF case.
